What are good movies to teach important lessons to middle-school-aged high-risk minority girls?
Q. I am about to start a movie club for a group of girls at a Middle School who are considered high-risk for pregnancy or gang affiliation, or may have other cultural impediments including being from another country and learning to fit in, poor grades, etc. We will be watching the movies and discussing what they may teach us or demonstrate. On top of being interesting enough for this age group, I would like them to warn of dangers as well as provide inspiration. Do you have any suggestions?
