A. Normall the braces the put around 11-12 years of age when all the permanent teeth have come and within 18-24 months they are off.

Adults:How do you feel about kids/teens yahoo?
Q. I'm 14 and I know if I were an adult I would want kids answering my questions. I try to avoid questions asked by adults. I try to find questions early teens, late teens, maybe early adult (20ish) I think yahoo should open up a teen forum for teens and let the adults have this one.

A. I'm an adult and I am pretty sick of the "am I pretty?" "is my nose too big for my body?" "does he like me?" and "omg! my parents are like the most totally worst people to ever come into my life. help" questions!! However this place is suppose to be educational and the younger people can learn from the adults if the adults are willing to give good answers and not be so closed minded about things. I do give good advice to the teens because I was a teen once and life can be hard and sometimes they just need to hear that they're not in the wrong and some advice to get through a situation. Either way, the teens are still going to come onto the one they're not suppose to use and the teen one could be a huge playground for child molesters...s [cont.]

Do adults relize how much stress teens and kids have ?
Q. and how much they contribute to it ? yes, we dont have to pay bills and that stuff, but none the less teens have ALOT of stress. alot comes from parents and adults. many teens become emo because of stress, they cant handel it. sometimes the only way we can get through it is by doing something our parents wouldnt agree with; for me its talking on the fone late at night with my friend, his parents found out one time and he got grounded. kids are being forced to grow up to soon. what are your thoughts on this ?

A. I agree. Yes, I'm sure parents have stress and all, but I sometimes don't think that they know how stressful adolescence is. I used to get mad at my parents a lot, because I told them they never understood what it's like being a teenager, which is true in many aspects. I found that my parents contributed a lot to my stress when I was a younger adolescent. But, teens should really cut their parents some slack sometimes. Some teens can be extremely vicious to their parents, who do so much for them, which might cause parents to cause this stress to their teens.
