Why do the Chicago Cubs play most of their games during the daytime at Wrigley Field?
Q. When I watch a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field in Chicago I notice that most of the games are played during the daytime instead of nighttime. Although Wrigley Field was the last stadium to get stadium lights, the Cubs play most of their games during the day. Is there a reason why most of the baseball games at Wrigley Field are played during the day time?

Once ownership changed, there was a major push to install lights, but the city of Chicago had banned night games. After MLB threatened to take away all post season home games and the owners threatened to move the team, the lights were turned on. The city finally acquiesced to the demand and allowed limited night games. The did finally relent and add lights… [cont.]
