Q. Astronauts always have their position aboard the shuttle(ie. Commander, Pilot, Flight surgeon) but can all these people fly the shuttle? I would think that most of them would be capable of flying just in case something severe happened.

A. 3, trick question 1) PILOT 2) commander -most likely the commander is one who was on a previous shuttle flight(s) and was the pilot 3) remote control - mission control easily can take over flight when it is deemed unsafe for humans to do so
