Why did actress Pamela Sue Martin leave Hollywood after her departure from "Dynasty"....? Q. And take up a career as a soccer player, live-theater performer, director of live theater, writer, and indie movie actress? Was Hollywood too stressful for her? Asked by Snoopy - Thu Jul 3 00:26:47 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. I can't substantiate this, but I thought I remember when I was a teenager hearing that photos of her came to light. Apparently, quite graphic. I think they were published in some sleezy skin mag like 'Hustler', 'Screw' or 'Oui' back in the 80's. Maybe even 'Penthouse'. Jim did this in several episodes with other hosts...anyone remember? Asked by chancun a son gout - Mon Oct 8 19:05:07 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. No but do you remember the skit where they show a picture of Ricardo Montablan and Fernando Lamas then ask "Quien es mas macho?" (Who is more macho?) The fake audience, who are supposed to look like Hispanic women, scream "Ricardo! Ricardo!" and I always thing of that when I see Mr. Montablan play Khan in the Star Trek: Wrath of Khan movie. "Quien es mas macho? H-Man or Judas Rabbi?" H-MAN, H-MAN, H-MAN! Q. I've read Pamela Sue Martin's reasons for leaving Hollywood and I think I have to agree with her, Hollywood is not a good thing. Which form of acting is better/less stressful/more flexible/more fulfilling? Asked by Snoopy - Fri Apr 11 01:12:18 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. There are plenty. There is Independent Film that is far easier to get into and much freer since it is not as closely censored. There is whatever tv work the reality shows have not ruined. There is commercial work. There is voice over work. There is, you guessed it theatre. Most actors aren't in Hollywood. Most are spread across country on small stages. Remember, Hollywood is not where acting started...stage is so most actors are found in touring companies or on stage. There are thousands of us. New York is just as big a hub as Hollywood but people don't pay as much attention. Also Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando, Nashville, several cities in Ohio, several in Texas, several others in Florida, and even Atlanta are all big places… [cont.] Answered by jnwildman - Fri Apr 11 01:21:46 2008 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Martin, Pamela Sue" |
