There can be no dispute that baseball players, indeed many of the famous ones, have taken steroids. Conceded it is news, but all media disclosures accomplish is the ruining of reputations.
How can an H-1B holder participate in a start-up in addition to his regular job?
Q. An H-1B holder cannot actively participate in a job which for which he is not sponsored. The only permitted participation is of a "passive investor". Is there still a way to set up a compesation contract of some sort? (e.g. stock options, a compensation in form of dividends rather than a salary).

A. US Corporations need to have a majority of the owners being US Citizens. This means that a minority of the owners can be non-US citizens. Many start-ups are hurting for capital, so they offer their employees a lot of stock instead of a lot of pay. This way if the company successful, when it goes public stock, the early employees get big capital gains.
